I woke up in the middle of the night and felt so yucky after "binging" last night! uggghhh! Here I go, starting again, it is a new day!

1pm: 1/2 c. fiber one with skim milk (100)
3pm: costco samples (200)
6pm:pear(100)
7pm: homemade pizza on wheat with veggies, fat free cheese and tomato sauce, caramel popcorn, Italian soda (900?)
I suck! I don't eat all day and then I just start craving stuff like crazy at night! I need to prepare and plan better and eat more complete and satisfying meals during the day!

1/28/10
8am:Protein Shake (250)
11am: Healthy Choice Soup, grapes (175)
1:30pm:plain German pancake (200)
5pm: Fiber One cereal (100)
7pm: Lasagna, wheat bread, fat free - sugar free Italian Soda (450?)
Today, I had some sugar withdrawal's and was really craving something. I gave in to the last piece of German pancake in the fridge that was left over from last week! I felt totally guilty eating it. It could have been so much worse, so I won't be too hard on myself!
I realize I need to try and be more consistent with my eating times and that would be beneficial.

11am: Turkey Jerky (100 Cal)
2pm: Leftover Quiche (300 Cal)
6:30pm: Extra Lean Hamburger Patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado (450)
I have decided, hopefully not prematurely, that the reason this is going to work for me is because it is easy to let myself down, but I hate to let other people down!
I love this quiche, I could eat it every day and I feel like it is relatively healthy, so I will share the recipe with you!
Crustless Turkey and Spinach Quiche
3/4 c. cubed deli turkey

1/4 c shredded fat free cheddar cheese
2 large egg whites
2 large eggs
1/2 c flour (I use whole wheat)
1 t. baking powder

8:15am: Protein Shake (approx. 250 cal)
12:15pm: Asian Salad, Sesame Pasta, Pot Sticker, Pineapple
(It sounds like a major splurge - especially for my first day! My sister had me over for lunch, there were even more yummy things that I had to turn down! I don't know how many calories it was, but I would guess about 450?)
6:15pm: Homemade Crustless Quiche, Broccoli, banana (approx. 475 cal)

I felt good today. I had energy. I was a bit hungry, but I kept myself busy. I caught myself subconsciously going for my kids leftovers!

What do I have to LOSE ?!
Wowzers!
Here I am putting it all out there! As uncomfortable as this is, I am hoping it will be for my good! I have decided to "go public" if you will, with my desires to loose weight and get in shape!
I am your typical, "struggled with my weight my whole life" kind of person. It has been the challenge of my life. I have yet to truly figure it out. I am at the heaviest I have ever been. I feel like there are a lot of things I could blame it on at the moment, but I don't want any more excuses for myself!
The funny thing is, I think I have the opposite problem of a bulimic or anorexic person... I have always looked in the mirror and thought I looked fine! Well, these pictures aren't hiding anything and it is pretty clear to me now!
So, I would love any words of encouragement, advice, or tips you may have to share with me!
I plan to journal what I eat every day and post it here on my blog. It will solely be for the purpose of feeling like I am being accountable for what I eat to more than just myself.
My initial goal is to loose 30lb's by June 1st.
Here is some of my plan:
-Do my best to avoid/limit large amounts of white flour, sugar, trans fat, sat fat, corn syrup. (This is Dr. Ozz stuff.)
-Eat close to 1200 - 1500 calories a day.
-Exercise for at least 1 hour a day, 6 days a week.
So, the thing is that I am passionate about food, and I don't just mean eating it. I LOVE everything about it...shopping, cooking, baking, looking at food magazines, learning about food, reading nutrition labels, making grocery lists, reading recipes, trying new restaurants and new kinds of foods, talking about it, etc, etc...it is all so fun and fascinating to me.
Needless to say, I have quite the challenge ahead of me!
Hence, why I am telling the world of my desires to loose weight! I need your help!
Thank you to my friend, who is doing this with me! We took each others weight and measurements and took these sweet pictures of each other! If anyone else wants to join us, I would love it! The more the merrier!!
